As the autumn draws in, the Basel Ancient Art Fair gathers 16 top international dealers in classical, Egyptian, and Near Eastern antiquities together in the elegant setting of Wenkenhof – a lavish baroque residence on the outskirts of Basel.

BAAF attracts leading specialists from all over the world, making it not only the largest, but also the most important fair of its kind under one roof. All participants are members of the International Association of Dealers in Ancient Art (IADAA) and follow a strict code of ethics concerning the authenticity and provenance of the objects they sell.

Quality is the key word, not only in objects and expertise, but in context too. Set in a magnificent park in the English style, Reithalle Wenkenhof provides the perfect ambience for a November fair and offers a fitting backdrop to the antiquities on display; the surrounding garden invites you for a bracing autumn stroll. Lunch or a refreshment at the BAAF Bistro, especially open for the fair, completes the experience.

Visitors to BAAF enjoy free entrance to the Antikenmuseum und Sammlung Ludwig. For the duration of the fair, there will be free Guided tours, sponsored by UNIQA, commenting on some of the important items on display. The renowned Foundation Beyeler, an excellent private collection of modern, is situated in the vicinity of Wenkenhof.
