20th century design new disciplines

Both pAn-Amsterdam as well as the TEFAF have introduced a new discipline within the range of art and antiques which will be presented to the public. Pan-Amsterdam, the national art and antiques fair of The Netherlands which is managed by the same organisation as the TEFAF, will house for the first time in her history 20th century Design.

Specialist dealers will present in the 'Designer Pavilion' objects and furniture by famous Dutch and foreign designers ranging from the 1920's to the 80's. Some highlights which will be shown are designs by Gispen, Rietveld, Charles & Ray Eames and Charlotte Perriand.

The TEFAF, the most prestigious art and antique fair world wide, will follow in March 2009. Of the 240 exhibitors 10 international designer specialist have been invited.

This new initiative will most certainly appeal to the art buyers and hopefully also attract a segment of buyers that might otherwise not visit these prestigious art and antique fairs.
